Purpose
Belaire High School has established a long-standing tradition of academic and athletic excellence. Many graduates, who distinguished themselves in the classrooms and in athletic or scholastic competition, continue to distinguish themselves after graduation.
It is the purpose of the Distinguished Alumni HALL OF FAME to recognize such individuals who have, through their performance, conduct and achievement brought credit and honor to themselves and to Belaire High School. Their public example will hopefully serve to inspire future graduates to perform and serve in the same spirit of excellence. success culture of the school.
Who is Eligible?
To be eligible for selection and induction into the Distinguished Alumni HALL OF FAME, the person must meet the following qualifications:
1. The nominee must be a graduate of Belaire High School. A period of five years must have elapsed between graduation and nomination for induction.
Candidates must be nominated on the official nominating form (see reverse side).
3. Candidates must have:
a. made a significant and recognized contribution to society or their profession, OR
b. been recognized for outstanding performance in the arts, athletics, government OR or public service OR
c. advanced the cause of education science or medicine through practice and/or research,
OR
d. been recognized for other outstanding achievement, accomplishment, contribution or act that has had a profound and positive effect.
Any supporting material such as newspaper articles, stories, etc. must be submitted with your application.
Inaugural Induction:
2025 will have 5 inductees

1 – One current faculty member
1 – Previous Hall of Fame member
1 - Community Representative
6 – Representative from designated class periods to be determine each year plus 1 at large. 1975-1980; 1981-1989; 1990-1999; 2000-2009; 2010-2014

There is a $25 nomiation fee and a $50 application fee. The fees will help provide financial scholarship to deserving graduating students of Belaire High School and support of the Hall of Fame program.
